Kostaki Mansion & Historic Trabzon Mansions

Built in the 19th century by Greek merchant Kostaki Teophylaktos, this elegant structure is one of the finest examples of Black Sea architecture of the period. We continue the historic mansion tour in Ortahisar and Kaleici districts. You have the opportunity to closely see traditional Trabzon houses with wooden facades, bay window architecture, and stonework. Each mansion has its own unique story and architectural features. From local architects and restoration experts, we learn traditional construction techniques and conservation works. Taking a break in the historic bazaar, we visit handicraft shops.
